New York Fashion Week: Day 3
Altuzarra
On Saturday evening, Altuzarra showed his S/S 16 collection at Spring Studio in Downtown Manhattan where fashion meets art. Anna Kendrick, Jenna Lyons and Michelle Monaghanin were spotted in the front row, of course Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, attended as always.
Altuzarra’s Spanish influence from his father’s Basque root delivered the Spring 16’ collection with colors of pumpkin, mossy green, royal blue and linen material. Besides, clunky ankle wrapped espadrilles were right enough to represent the city.
He described that the show was inspired by the inherent beauty of the materials and crafts of the region, and the ease and humility it exuded.
Joseph Altuzarra displayed lots of white colors with linen, wrinkled and mother of pearl embellished dresses that conveyed halfway through the fashion show.
